Small Steel Pegs

Are you sick and tired of your pegs constantly breaking or going out of shape? Well if you are then you are probably one of the millions of people around the world who hate it when their clothes fly away simply because their pegs were not strong enough. The solution to all of these issues is to use small steel pegs. There are a number of advantages to using steel pegs but with one disadvantage i.e. the price. Steel pegs are expensive simply because procuring and manufacturing these pegs incur a high cost but on the flip side of this these steel pegs can last forever.

Here are a few reasons why you may want to invest in small steel pegs:

  • They are very durable
  • Excellent grip capabilities
  • Can be used on any type of clothes line
  • Break and rust proof

The durability of small steel pegs

Steel is one of the most durable materials known to man, steel is rust proof and when used in the right thickness it does not bend or break. However, there are probably a few manufacturers out there that tend to make and sell rather low quality steel pegs. The best way to spot a low quality peg is to look at its thickness; if the peg can be bent it means that you should toss it out in favor of something thicker and hence more durable.

Excellent grip

Now even though they are some really low quality small steel pegs being sold online and in local stores the good thing about these pegs is that they have an excellent grip. Even some of the low quality pegs are better than most high quality plastic pegs simply because they are heavier and the spring mechanism used works very efficiently. However, high quality steel pegs will be easier to use and you won’t have to worry about them becoming stiff during the winter or because the non-steel mechanism became rusty. These make steel pegs especially good for heavy clothes which need to be dried in windy locations.

Can be used anywhere

Small steel pegs are probably the only types of pegs you will find that can be used on almost any type of clothes line. People who use thicker lines to accommodate heavier clothes and laundry will find that these pegs suit their needs perfectly. In addition these pegs are strong enough to resist violent wind conditions such as storms.

Rust and Break proof

One of the best things about using small steel pegs is that they are both rust proof and break proof. However, you should always purchase ‘all steel pegs’ which means that the entire peg including its loading mechanism should be steel, since some manufacturers of low quality pegs my use tin or some other metal which becomes rusty over time rendering the peg useless. Always give the pegs you are going to purchase a physical inspection prior to deciding to purchase them, since that is the only way to root out inferior products.
